SEA History
SEA was started 10 years ago by a small group of parents to help address the educational rights of their children with special needs. The original name for this group was PIE , which stood for Parents and then Partners for Inclusive Education. We celebrate the hard work and dedication of these original founding members and thank them for beginning a process whereby people who live and work with students with special needs can move forward together in partnership and understanding. SEA has come a long way, and the road ahead may not always be smooth, but when parents love their children, and educators listen and care, almost anything is possible!
