Getting Ready for Your Next IEP Meeting
Special Education Workshop on April 24
The Supported Education Association (SEA) presents… Getting Ready for Your Next IEP Meeting: a workshop for the parents/guardians of children with IEPs.
Successful IEP meetings don’t just happen—they require planning. Busy parents often find themselves rushing at the last minute to gather all the information and learn all the things they need to know for their child’s upcoming IEP meeting. The solution is… START NOW!
At the “Getting Ready” workshop you will:
- Create a plan for what you want to accomplish at your next IEP meeting
- Find where to locate the policies, procedures, regulations and terminology of IEP meetings
- Learn how to compare test scores and use them to track your child’s progress
- Learn how to write measurable goals
- Learn what to expect from and how to respond to progress reports
