D200 SEAstar Award Ceremony

The D200 SEAstar Awards will be presented in conjunction with the
Tuesday, May 15, 2007 District 200 Board of Education meeting.

Please join SEA and the award recipients at 7:00 P.M. in the upper balcony of
the main entrance of the high school for the presentation of the
awards and a brief reception. The awardees will then be recognized at
the beginning of the board meeting which starts at 7:30 P.M.

Family and friends are welcome to attend both the reception and the meeting.
Following recognition during the public comments portion of the board
meeting, guests are free to leave the meeting if they would like.

Training for Parents & Educators on IDEA Regulations

The Illinois State Board of Education is sponsoring these conferences in partnership with the Illinois Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs). Participants will learn about new IDEA provisions regarding IEPs, discipline, assessment, how IDEA and No Child Left Behind work together, and how parents and schools can work together to ensure appropriate services for students with disabilities.

The first three conferences were held this week, and the last two conferences will be held on Saturday, June 2 in Chicago and Evanston. Further information, including a registration form, for each of the June 2 conferences is available on the ISBE website as follows:
